About us and our next adventure…

Well, we’re doing it! A little over a year ago an idea popped into our heads. We started creating a plan for our next new adventure. We are a family of four with two young kids, a 2 and a half year old named Stone and a one year old named Crosby. Liz has been working in a photo studio for the past 6 years and Jesse has been finished up his Graphic Design degree while being a stay at home dad and just graduated a month ago. The plan has always been that Jesse would begin working once he graduated and Liz would quit and stay home with the boys.

This is where the plan begins. We are going to a wedding in Denmark in August and so we thought why not try to apply at some amazing internships in Europe. We have spent the last year scrounging and saving every penny we made in hopes that the next adventure would take shape. After many unanswered emails and applications Jesse got a three month internship in Italy! We will be in Carpi, Italy from September 2012 through November 2012. Check out Vtwob.com for where he will be working.

However, in order for Jesse to take on this amazing experience Liz quit her job and now they’re going to go experience life, take risks and learn about life in Italy.

  1. Hi Jesse and Liz, would you guys be up for an interview to be my Abroad Blog of the Week next Wednesday? Send me an email and I’ll respond tonight with questions for you guys. Hope to talk to you soon!

  2. Way to go and be adventurous! The kids won’t remember, but you two will live off the memories for years to come. We have a 1 and 2 year-old as well, so can relate. Found your blog through Elise’s post.

    • Thanks! I’m hoping it just gets them (Mostly our almost three year old) out of the daily rut and gets his brain thinking differently. Today he starting saying ciao! Doing this blog is really going to help us to remember those memories too!

  3. I’m sorry you’re not getting as far as Transylvania (Romania), where I live, but you’re covering a lot of ground already. Hope you’re still enjoying the adventure now that winter’s coming!
