Last week while working for VtwoB I got a chance to go to one of the photo shoots for an upcoming layout we’re working on for Northland. I always heard stories from Liz when she’d go to New York for photo shoots and we’ve had a couple “location” photo shoots on our farm but I never really had a chance to be a part of the process until now. It was really interesting to help with the research and planning of the ideas and layouts for this project. The photo shoot itself was at the studio Ferrovie Creative in Carpi about a 10 minute walk from where we’re living. Liz and the boys walked with me and picked me up when we’re done for the day.
It’s amazing that it takes all day to shoot the photos and there’s not one bad shot, unfocused photo or where the model looks all googly eyed. I guess that’s why they do this for a living. We took about half of the photos in the studio and the other half outside around the studio. It was a great day and interesting to listen to our creative director’s vision of what he had in mind and how it all came together and evolved throughout the process.
